Cattle egrets
Written by Dr. Dolittle on December 9, 2009 – 11:55 am -I have chased these birds for months, never to come out with a decent photo. I’m certainly glad for digital photography for I surely would have gone broke having all my less than steller photos developed to photo paper. This photo was taken through a window. The birds didn’t seem to mind my being there, unlike when I was outside. Sometimes stealth just means going inside the house.

Beautiful! And I’m jealous: I have to go to the lake to find them, or to the rookery when they nesting. You have them wandering your doggone yard. Very cool!

You have a hard time because you’re outside. I’ve discovered they downright pose when you aim a camera at them through a window!

I completely concur. The advent of digital photography is a great tool. As for me, it is a means by which I can discover many subpar photos as soon as I return home from a birding trip :’) But the quest for great images continues. Thanks for sharing and it is a nice shot!

I think a lot of us found our calling when digital cameras became available. I’ve already worn out 3 cameras and am now working on my third. Wonderful gadgets! Thanks for visiting.
